MEDITATION and RELAXATION
Meditation and Relaxation:
The body's physical response under stress is well known; when a real or imagined threat is present, the human nervous system activates the "fight-or-flight" mechanism. Activity of the nervous system increases, causing an increased heart beat, increased respiratory rate, elevation of blood pressure, and increase in oxygen consumption. Sit down. Let your thoughts gradually quieten down. Concentrate on your breathing. If you get distracted or your mind wanders, then gently bring it back. Allow the mind to be still. Do this for as long as possible and you have the meditative or relaxed state desired.
This is all well and good for the mind and body but who exactly is that mind and body. Who are you when it comes down to it? Here we provide a useful little product to offer guidance. Why not start with who you really are with this simple but insightful guide.
